Transport and Storage

1. Transportation

It shall not be transported along with hard materials to reduce vibration and friction and hence to reduce the impact on use brought by smashing;

2. Storage

It shall be stored in a cool, dark and dry place, and protected from being in direct contact with the outside and absorbing other materials due to the inside or outside breakage of the package, which otherwise lowers its capability of absorbing hydrogen sulfide, affecting its effect in use;

3. No blisters

This product is a porous adsorbent, and water immersion is strictly forbidden during transportation, storage and use because it will fail to work when a large mass of water fills its active pores.

4. Preventing materials in the tar category

Materials in the tar category shall be prevented from entering the bed layer for the desulfurizer in production and operation in case it may not work normally.

Precautions for loading and employing large and medium-sized desulfurization towers:

1. Before loaded, the desulfurization tower must be cleaned up with the load of each layer defined. Two loading layers or more are preferred;

2. In the process of loading, a layer of steel wire mesh and refractory balls shall first be laid on the wallboard of the furnace, followed by two layers of stainless steel wire mesh of some 20 meshes. After that the desulfurizer shall be filled;

3. The desulfurizer shall be poured into the furnace gently from the height as low as possible with the free-fall height of the particles less than 0.5 m;

4. During loading, the catalyst shall be scattered and evenly placed, and centralized pouring or pouring only from one side is not allowed in order to avoid the occurrence of uneven loading and deviated gas flow  accordingly;

5. Operators shall stand on a wooden board and load the tower. It is strictly forbidden to stamp directly on the catalyst to prevent producing new powder;

6. The well-laid catalyst shall be flattened with a wooden board, and then covered with a layer of iron mesh and refractory balls;

7. A proper amount of water vapor may exist in the raw material gas, but a great amount of water or gathered water shall not be found on the bed layer. The condensation water in front of the tower, and the sewage at the bottom of the tower shall be regularly discharged;

8. The sequence of the gas passing the towers shall be considered while a couple of towers are operated, to keep the working desulfurizer as saturated with sulfur as possible;

9. The bottom valve of the desulfurization tower is used for discharging water. Gathered water shall be discharged.
